The People Behind :
Oahu Auctions specialized in organizing and managing large-scale auctions, including asset liquidation and inventory control. The company prepared a unique and meaningful event - the Aloha Stadium Auction - which celebrated the legacy of Aloha Stadium, a venue that had served the state of Hawaii for over 45 years and held deep sentimental value for local residents.
Goal :
The goal was to design a commemorative auction “lot tag” sticker to be used for inventory control and asset identification during the Aloha Stadium Auction. The sticker was intended to be affixed to various items such as stadium seats, signage, memorabilia, and other assets.
The company provided a sample for reference.
The starting point: a basic legacy label provided as a reference. This simple original design served as the foundation for the transformation.

Result :
The lot tag sticker was designed using a single color to streamline offset printing and reduce production costs. Drawing on experience in the printing industry, this approach ensured both efficiency and scalability for large-volume production.
The stadium logo was converted into a vector format, and unnecessary details were removed to maintain clarity and legibility in print, especially at smaller sizes.
During the process, key usage details were clarified. Since multiple individuals were responsible for adding handwritten lot numbers and price estimates, a generously sized writing area was incorporated. This allowed flexibility for different handwriting styles and ensured the information remained clear and readable in all cases.
Overall, the design balanced practicality, cost-efficiency, and a commemorative visual approach appropriate for the significance of the auction.
